The Oball Classic Ball in red, yellow, green and blue

This toy is so simple and yet provides so much fun as well as developmental play. It helps babies learn to grip, catch, and throw. The colors being primary are eye catching for little ones. I bought this ball when my daughter was about two months old so she could begin to follow objects with her eyes. She is now able to hold this ball and play with it on her own! It is a great starter toy for any baby.

Warmies Microwavable French Lavender Scented Plush Hedgehog

This was a whim purchase by my significant other/daughter’s father. The saleswoman explained that we simply heat the hedgehog up in the microwave for about 30 seconds and place it next to our daughter before going to sleep. The scent of lavender and heat that is supposed to mimic body heat of someone holding our baby would help put our daughter to sleep. I was definitely skeptical but after using it at least a dozen times in the last two weeks I am definitely a Warmies fan!

Burt’s Bees 100% natural multipurpose healing ointment

My Baby Registry Essentials already includes this product for a reason. I absolutely love this product! It can be used on a baby’s entire body including their face. It moisturizers, helps with eczema, and is great for minor cuts or scratches. I have been using this on my daughter twice a day pretty much since she was born and I only recently ran out and had to buy more. LOVE THIS OINTMENT.

I’ve Loved You Since Forever by Hoda Kotb

Reading is so important for any baby’s development. I read to my daughter at least once a day. This book was one of the first books I bought and from the moment I read it I couldn’t help but tear up. It is a wonderful book to read to your little one or to gift to any parent. The message is clear, simple, and beautiful: I’ve loved you since forever.

Alexa

I am not tech-savvy. Before having my daughter I hadn’t thought much about Alexa, Google Assistant, or making my home “smart”. Maybe it was all the commercial that got me curious but somehow I ended up investing in a smart speaker. The Echo Dot (4th Gen) Smart speaker with clock and Alexa can turn off your lights without having to put down your little one or reaching for anything with the help of smart bulbs. Control most electronics for that matter with the help of Alexa. You can even get super fancy and control your thermostat or Roomba (if you have either) with Alexa. There is very few things this smart speaker can’t do which is why it makes my Favorite Things July 2021 list!
