Be Kind To Yourself Mama
Self-Care

Be Kind To Yourself Mama

In the last week or so I have been feeling more sensitive to stress. The usual stress tolerance I have is not present. Stress is starting to take a toll on my physical and emotional well-being. But today I took pause and asked myself: Have I been kind to myself? Despite moments of unkindness and unpleasantness that are beyond my control, have I stopped to show myself kindness? Be kind to yourself mama.

When was the last time you were kind to yourself?

I show kindness to my daughter. Kindness is shown to my family and friends. I even show kindness to strangers. Showing kindness to others is something that is taught early on. But what about showing kindness to ourselves? Kindness to ourselves is a form of self-care. Showing ourselves kindness can do wonders for our emotional, mental, and even physical well-being. But I think that showing ourselves kindness much like self-care is often interpreted as selfish.

Be kind to yourself mama unapologetically.

Being kind to yourself is not selfish. Will being kind to yourself possibly have others in their feelings? One hundred percent. Does that mean you shouldn’t be kind to yourself anyways? No. You deserve kindness as much as anyone else. So be kind to yourself unapologetically. Is there even a reason why you shouldn’t be kind to yourself? I don’t think there is. So today, show yourself some kindness. You deserve it.
